FMCON Student Research Club Hosts a Panel Discussion and Handing Over Ceremony

The Student Research Club, Father Muller College of Nursing, Mangaluru, organized its first Panel Discussion titled “From Proposal to Publication: Embedding Ethics and Discipline in Every Research Step” on 13 January 2026 at Rajath Bhavan, FMCON.

The panel discussion featured eminent academicians and researchers who highlighted ethical research practices, proposal development, publication standards, plagiarism, and responsible authorship. The session was effectively moderated by Dr. Devina E Rodrigues, Professor, FMCON, and was highly informative and interactive for both students and faculty.

Following the panel discussion, the Handing Over Ceremony of the Student Research Club was conducted. The programme was presided over by Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director, FMCI. Dr. Animesh Jain, Professor, Community Medicine, KMC, Mangaluru, was the Chief Guest, and Dr. Ramesh Bhat M, Professor of Dermatology and Head, FMRC, FMCI, was the Guest of Honour.

During the ceremony, the newly elected office bearers of the Student Research Club were formally announced by the Chairperson, Dr. Shycil Mathew, marking the beginning of a new academic year and reinforcing the institution’s commitment to strengthening research culture among nursing students.
