A guest lecture was conducted on 21st April 2026 in AV Hall, Knowledge centre at 9:30 am on the topic “Peritoneal Dialysis: Dialysis Beyond the Dialysis Unit.” The session was delivered by Ms. Aksa Shibu, Assistant Professor Grade I, Program Coordinator, and PhD Scholar from Yenepoya School of Allied Health Sciences, Yenepoya Deemed to be University.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by the student Master of Ceremony, Ms. Lauren Sunil (2nd Year), who greeted the esteemed guest and dignitaries. This was followed by a prayer song performed by the second-year students.
As a mark of appreciation, a certificate and memento were presented to the resource person by Dr. Majunath J, Professor and Head of the Department of Nephrology.
Ms. Lavita Shanya, Assistant Professor and Course Coordinator, Department of Renal Dialysis Technology, formally welcomed the speaker and invited her to deliver the lecture.
The session provided valuable insights into peritoneal dialysis, emphasizing its role as an effective modality that extends care beyond the conventional dialysis unit.
The program concluded at 11:00am with refreshments.
