ANNUAL ATHLETIC MEET 2024

The Annual Sports week of Father Muller
Charitable institutions was started on 14 April 2024 and the formal
Inauguration of the Athletic meet was conducted on 18 April 2024 at Father
Muller Stadium. The programme began at 4.235 pm by invoking God's blessings
through a prayer song. Dr Jeedhu Radhakrishnan, Consultant & Head of Department
of Emergency Medicine, Kasturba Medical College Hospital was the Chief Guest. Rev.
Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI presided the event. Rev. Fr Ajith B
Menezes, Administrator, FMMC extended a warm welcome to the gathering and
introduced the Chief Guest. Administrators and Principals of all Colleges were present
on the dais.
The programme began with the March Past of different
batches of Father Muller Charitable Institutions. The Chief Guest inaugurated
the programme by hoisting the Institutional flag and releasing balloons. The Kreeda
Jyothi was done by the athletes of the institution and the torch signified the
spirit of true sportsmanship. The student representatives pledged the oath and
it was administered by Royston Glany Dsilva, Sports secretary of Father Muller
College of Nursing. The Physical Instructors and sports Coordinators were in
charge of various events.
Dr Sonia Karen Liz Sequeira, Faculty of
College of Nursing and Ms Valeri Lobo, Student from Allied health sciences compered
the inaugural programme as well as the athletics event. The valedictory program
took place at 9.00 pm on 19 April 2024. Rev.
Fr Ajith Menezes and Faculty of various institutions honoured the winners of
athletic events. The individual and group championship of each institution were
distributed. Rev. Fr Ajith Menezes declared the Meet closed by lowering the
flag and the event concluded at 10.00 pm.
