GROUP HEALTH EDUCATION AND NUTRI- EDUCATION

A health awareness programme was
conducted by the Department of Community Health Nursing in collaboration with
the NSS unit of Father Muller College of Nursing at Adyar Padavu, Mangalore, on
May 21, 2024. The focus of the programme was on the prevention and control of non-communicable
diseases-Cancer as well as Nutri education on Diabetic diet. In addition to
that a general health checkup also was carried out for the beneficiaries. As
audience 33 members from the local community, 48 students of IV BSc (N) 9 MSc
(N) students and 8 department faculty, Father Muller College of Nursing attended
the programme. Feedback
from the community indicated that the programme was highly beneficial,
enriching them with valuable information and knowledge on health and nutrition.
The inclusion of a general health check-up further enhanced the impact of the
event, ensuring holistic wellness among the participants.
