The
Core Skill Exit Examinations for final-year B.Sc. Nursing, PBBSc Nursing, and
M.Sc. Nursing students were successfully conducted at Father Muller College of
Nursing from November 7 to 9, 2024, reports byPrincipal Rev. Sr. Dhanya Devasia
Dr. Shycil Mathew Core Skill exit exam coordinator.
These
examinations, structured to comprehensively assess both theoretical knowledge
and practical skills, marked a pivotal step in the academic journey of the
final-year students.
The
primary goal of the exit exams was to evaluate the students' mastery in their
core nursing subjects, ensuring they meet the rigorous standards expected in
the healthcare profession. To achieve a thorough assessment, the examinations
included a mix of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Objective Structured
Clinical Examinations (OSCE/OSPE), effectively gauging both cognitive
understanding and psychomotor competencies.
A
total of 96 B.Sc. Nursing, 39 PBBSc Nursing, and 8 M.Sc. Nursing students from
the 2024 graduating class successfully completed the exams. This accomplishment
is a testament to their hard work, as well as the commitment of the college’s
faculty and administration in providing high-quality nursing education.
The
results of these exams will be documented in each student’s academic
transcript, reflecting their achievements and further validating their skills
for future employers or educational institutions. Beyond individual
assessments, the insights gained from these exit examinations will play a
crucial role in refining the college’s curricula, contributing to continuous
improvements in teaching methodologies and course content.
