SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAMME ON BEHAVIOURAL PROBLEMS IN ADOLESCENTS

The Department of Mental Health Nursing, along with III-year BSc Nursing students of FMCON, organized a school health program on the topic “Behavioral Problems Among Adolescents” on 12th November 2024 at 1:30 pm at Sacred Heart High School, Kulshekar, Mangaluru.  The program featured two sessions aimed at addressing key issues faced by adolescents.  

 

The first session, titled “Overcoming Addiction,” was led by Mr. Sripathi Bhat, Counselor, De-addiction Centre, Father Muller Medical College Hospital. The second session, on “Behavioral Problems in Adolescents,” was presented by Dr. Rahul M. Rao, Assistant Professor at Father Muller Medical College Hospital. The school Headmistress addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of understanding and managing behavioral issues among adolescents. A total of 98 students actively participated in and benefitted from this valuable educational initiative.
