General Health Check-up camp at Shimogga

On 19th January 2025, a successful one-day General Health Check-up camp was conducted at St. Antony’s Church Premises, Hosanagara, Shimogga. This initiative, organized by Father Muller Medical College Hospital in collaboration with The Shimogga Multipurpose Social Service Society, Shimoggab aimed to promote health awareness and provide essential medical services to the local community. The health camp offered medical services to the public, including General Health Check-ups for females conducted by the Department of OBG and Department of Orthopaedics rendered the services with Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing and dispensing free medicines to the beneficiaries. These services were aimed at facilitating early detection of health issues and promoting overall well-being among the community members. The camp was coordinated by Ms. Caroline Smitha, Assistant Lecturer from the Department of Community Health Nursing at Father Muller College of Nursing (FMCON). She played a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the camp. Additionally, one 2nd PBBSc Nursing student from Father Muller College of Nursing (FMSON) actively participated in the camp. They assisted with the registration process and helped dispense free medicines to beneficiaries, gaining valuable practical experience in community health service. The health camp attracted a total of 245 beneficiaries, who benefited from the various services provided.
