General Health Check-up and Cancer Screening Awareness Camp at Bejai

A General Health Check-up and Cancer Screening Awareness Camp is organized at Lourdes Central School, Bejai on Sunday 16.02.2025. Father Muller Medical College Hospital organized this in partnership with Jewels Group and the Indian Cancer Society.

 The camp offered a range of medical services, including a Pap Smear Test conducted by the Department of OBG, Breast Examination Performed by the Department of General Surgery, Oral Examination Offered by the Department of ENT along with other services like GRBS Checking and dispensing of free medicines. 

The camp was effectively coordinated by Dr Sonia Karen Liz Sequeira, Professor from the Department of Community Health Nursing, Father Muller College of Nursing.

Two fourth-year BSc Nursing students from Father Muller College of Nursing actively participated in the camp. They supported the event by assisting with registration, Pap smear tests, and dispensing free medicines. There was a total of 108 beneficiaries in the camp. The camp successfully promoted health awareness and provided essential screenings to the local community, emphasizing the importance of early detection and prevention of diseases.
