General Health Check-Up and Cancer Screening Awareness Camp, Bajal

A General Health Check-Up and Cancer Screening Awareness Camp was successfully conducted on July 27, 2025, at the Bajal Holy Spirit Church Hall. The initiative was a joint effort by Father Muller Medical College Hospital, in collaboration with the Indian Cancer Society, Jewels Group, and A.J. Medical College Hospital, Mangalore.

The camp provided a wide array of free medical services, including consultations in General Medicine, General Surgery, General Oncology, Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBG), and ENT. Participants also benefited from Pap smear cancer screening, laboratory investigations, ECG, and free pharmacy services.

A total of 103 individuals from the local community availed of the healthcare services offered. A dedicated team of doctors, nurses, laboratory and ECG technicians, and nursing students—Mr. Blannan, Ms. Melonie, Ms. Richelle, and Ms. Venissha—played an integral role in conducting ECGs and distributing medications.

Ms Raina Mascarenhas smoothly coordinated the entire event, faculty member at Father Muller College of Nursing.

This outreach program underscores the commitment of Father Muller Medical College Hospital and its partners in promoting community health awareness and preventive healthcare, especially in rural and underserved areas.
