World Breastfeeding Week Observance -2025

In observance of World Breastfeeding Week, the Departments of OBG, Paediatric and Community Health Nursing of Father Muller College of Nursing (FMCON) in collaboration with Department of OBG & Paediatrics of Father Muller Medical College organized an awareness program on breastfeeding techniques and Postnatal nutrition during lactation. The event took place on 5th August 2025 at Ganesh Thota Anganwadi, Arkula.The session was conducted by IPBBSc Nursing students under the supervision of Dr. Shycil Mathew, Mrs. Sandra Saldanha, and Mrs. Nitha Meena Coelho. The program was well attended by antenatal mothers, ASHA workers, Anganwadi teachers, and a nurse from Adyar PHC.This initiative actively contributed to Sustainable Development Goal 1,2,3,4 and 8. Total beneficiary were 40.
