World Breastfeeding Week 2025 –UPHC Surathkal

On the occasion of Breastfeeding Week, an awareness program was conducted by the students of the III-year GNM, along with the faculty of Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing, Child Health Nursing, and Community Health Nursing,on 7/8/2025 at 11 am, at UPHC Surathkal. Mrs. Savitha, Corporator, Surathkal, Mr. Muralidhar, Senior TB Treatment supervisor, and Mrs. Sherly, Senior Primary Health Care Officer, graced the occasion. The program included a role-play performed by the III-year GNM students, followed by a Health talk presented by faculty members Ms. Deepika N.C., Ms. Mable D'Souza, and Mrs. Helen Claret D'Souza, with the use of different kinds of AV Aids like PPT, models, and chart presentations, as well as an Amrutha Bindhu video. There were 48 mothers and 4 ASHA workers, who were beneficiaries of the extension activity.
