Nutrition Day Program

The Department of Community Health Nursing, Father Muller College of Nursing, in collaboration with the II Semester B.Sc. Nursing students organized Nutrition Day on the theme “Eight Right for a Better Life”. The program was held at Rajath Bhavan on September 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm. The event was presided over by Dr. Agnes E. J., Vice Principal, FMCON, along with Dr. Shiji P. J., Head of the Department of Community Health Nursing, Prof. Helen Claret D’Souza, Department of Child Health Nursing, and Ms. Neema Joyce Crasta, Junior Dietitian, Father Muller Medical College Hospital. Faculty members from various departments and students also attended the program. 

The program commenced with a prayer song, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. Dr. Agnes E. J. delivered an insightful address, highlighting the significance of Nutrition Day and emphasizing the importance of nutrition in maintaining health and well-being. A major highlight of the celebration was the display of 10 innovative stalls by different student groups, showcasing balanced diet plans tailored for various age groups. The stalls were both educational and interactive, providing valuable information to the audience. The program was evaluated by Prof. Helen Claret D’Souza and Ms. Neema Joyce Crasta, who appreciated the efforts of the students in presenting creative and informative exhibits. The event concluded successfully with the active participation of faculty members and students from various batches, making it a meaningful and enriching experience.
