Women’s Day 2026

In view of International Women’s Day, women’s cell of Father Muller College of Nursing organized a session on the theme “From recognition to respect: Advancing gender justice” for the first year BSc nursing students of FMCON on March 25, 2026 between 2.00 and 4.00pm. The resource speaker for the session was Dr Reshma G Kini, Professor, Department of Pathology, Father Muller Medical College who provided statistics, insights and thoughts focusing on the current state of equity and equality in the society. Sr Prof. Dr Dhanya Devasia, Principal, FMCON also enlightened the students with some real-life experiences related to gender preferences persisting in the society. This enriching session was attended by 249 students. The staff organizers for the program were Prof. Sonia Maria Lobo, Dr Sandra Jyothi Saldanha, Mrs Sabeena MTP and Mrs Stacy Mavin Pinto.
