Apr 27, 2026

A workshop titled “Navigating Global Pathways & Sustaining Research Passion – An Alumna’s Perspective” was successfully conducted, featuring two interactive sessions with alumna Dr. Jyoshma P. Dsouza, Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Luxembourg. The programme was organized by Father Muller College of Nursing (Research Department, Criteria III, and Research Cell) in collaboration with the FMCON Alumni Association on 28-3-2026, from 10 am to 5 pm. The sessions focused on global research pathways and strategies to sustain faculty and student research engagement. The resource person shared her experiences in the collaborative international research, emphasizing practical insights into global partnerships. The sessions promoted active dialogue, enabling meaningful interaction and knowledge exchange. She also highlighted the roles of faculty and students in the upcoming CAPTURE project, a joint research initiative with the University of Luxembourg, and noted that a broader Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is in place with FMMCH to facilitate many future collaborative initiatives. As per the protocol, Ms. Precilla and Dr. Shiji PJ will serve as project coordinators and oversee the implementation plan within a proposed 10-month timeline. The study will address cervical and breast cancer separately, with 30–50 participants in each stream. Around 10 faculty members will form the scientific team, while students will be trained to deliver the project's educational components. The workshop concluded with enthusiastic student interaction on learning and career opportunities in Europe, inspiring renewed research motivation among participants.
