Overview

The Teaching-Learning and Evaluation Committee (TLEC) under the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) plays a pivotal role in the enhancement and assurance of quality education in Father Muller college of Nursing. The committee's responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities aimed at improving the teaching-learning environment and ensuring effective evaluation mechanisms. Overall, the Teaching-Learning and Evaluation Committee is essential for fostering an environment of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous quality enhancement within FMCI.

OBJECTIVES OF TLE COMMITEE

1. To assess the students' learning level and conduct appropriate remedial classes.
2. To adopt appropriate strategies for advanced learners.
3. To conduct tutorial classes.
4. To cater to the needs of differently-abled students.
5. To organize departmental meetings where teachers prepare the teaching plans to be spread over the year/semester.
6. To adopt a problem-solving approach as a teaching methodology.
7. To use a wide range of techniques, materials, and experiences to engage students' interest.
8. To address student grievances regarding evaluation.
9. To evaluate the performance of the teaching faculty by means of a Teacher Assessment Questionnaire (TAQ) and feedback is obtained by the Principal.
10. To give confidential feedback to teachers about their teaching effectiveness based on an institutionalized mechanism for evaluating the teachers.
