Research Lab Sensitization Program

A program to sensitize faculty of FMCI to the facilities and research opportunities in Central Research Lab of FMRC, was conducted on 13th August 2025, 10 AM 12.30 PM.
This program aimed to familiarize the members of research forum of FMCI on the equipment, facilities and opportunities to collaborate with FMRC Central lab. The program started with an introduction by Dr Shivashankara AR, Division Head of Biochemistry and Molecular diagnostics, FMRC & Organizing secretary, followed by demonstration of the facilities in each section of the research lab. The participants were explained about the principle and clinical applications of general microbiology, anaerobic bacterial culture, MALDI-TOF, polymerase chain reaction, cell culture, Western blot technique, Nano sciences, High performance liquid chromatography, ELISA and spectrophotometry.
A total of 50 faculties who are members of research forum, attended the program and interacted with the scientists and faculty of FMRC and familiarised themselves with the facilities available. These faculties were from FMMC, FMCOP, FMCOAHS, FMCON, FMHMC and FMCOSH. The program was well appreciated by the participants who wanted more such programs in future.
The program was initiated and led by Dr Ramesh Bhat, Head of FMRC. The scientists of FMRC Dr Beena Antony, Dr Shivashankara AR, Dr Anwesha Chatterjee, Dr Animikh Ray, Dr Mary Anitha, Dr Priya SwethaDSouza interacted with the participants.
