The Father Muller Research Centre (FMRC), under the aegis of Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI), formally inaugurated the Muller Research Conclave 2026 on 8 June 2026 at the Decennial Memorial Hall, Father Muller Campus, Mangaluru. The five-day conclave, scheduled from 8 to 12 June 2026, was conceived to foster a culture of scientific inquiry, innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based practice among healthcare professionals, researchers, faculty, and students.
The inaugural programme commenced with a prayer song, invoking divine blessings for the successful conduct of the conclave. The gathering was warmly welcomed by the organizing committee, highlighting the institution's continued commitment to advancing research excellence and academic scholarship.
The conclave was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Dr. Kiran Cotha, SJ, Director, AIMIT, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the pivotal role of research in addressing contemporary healthcare challenges and encouraged participants to pursue meaningful, ethical, and impactful research that contributes to societal well-being. He also underscored the importance of nurturing curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation in academic institutions.
The programme was presided over by Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions. In his presidential address, he reaffirmed FMCI's steadfast commitment to promoting research as an integral component of healthcare education and service. He highlighted the institution's vision of fostering an environment that supports scientific advancement, collaborative learning, and translational research for the benefit of society.
The inaugural ceremony brought together members of the management, faculty, researchers, healthcare professionals, and students from various constituent units of FMCI. The event marked the beginning of a series of scientific sessions, workshops, paper presentations, and discussions aimed at strengthening research capabilities and encouraging knowledge exchange across disciplines.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, chief guest, organizing committee, participants, and all stakeholders for their support and contributions towards the successful commencement of the Muller Research Conclave 2026.
