The inaugural of the student council of Father Muller College of Speech and Hearing was held on 14 th August 2025 at The Father Muller’s Silver Jubilee hall. The program opened by invoking the blessings of the Almighty through a prayer song by our students.
The President of the programme Rev. Fr .Faustine Lucas Lobo ; Director of FMCI , the Chief Guest, Dr. Hareesh Shiva Gouda Professor and HOD , Department of Forensic Medicine and the other dignitaries , Rev Fr.Dr. Michael Santhumayor administrator Of FMMC ,FMAHS ,FMCOP; Dr. Antony Sylvan D’souza , Dean of FMMC were escorted by Ms Cynthia Santhumayor our Principal of Speech and Hearing on to the dias.
Then the student council members made their way to the hall and took their seats.
Ms. Susmitha C.G., the in-charge of the student council, warmly welcomed everyone present in the hall and initiated the program with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing an auspicious beginning. The lamp was lit by the esteemed guests, our Principal, and the Student Council President.
The student council members were conferred badges for their respective positions by the Chief Guest, the President of the program, and our Principal, followed by the oath-taking ceremony led by the Principal.
The motto of our institution, ‘Heal and Comfort,’ is instilled in us through the institutional anthem at every program. This was followed by an inspiring address from our Chief Guest, Dr. Hareesh Shiva Gouda, who shared valuable tips for the student council members and encouraged them to follow these sincerely. He also motivated the non–council members with his thoughtful words of guidance.
The presidential address was delivered by our director Rev.Fr .Faustine Lucas Lobo who wished the new council batch success in fulfilling their vision for the year. He reminded the students that the institution is built on ethics, morality, and compassion and urged the council to embody these values as leaders of tomorrow. Highlighting the role of the student council as representatives of the student body working in collaboration with the management, he encouraged them to take their responsibilities with sincerity. He concluded by reminding them that true leadership requires self-awareness, creativity, compassion, and courage.
The program came to an end with a vote of thanks by the president of student council followed by the national anthem.
