Regional Conference PEDIACON-2K25 - "Swift Hands — Safeguarding Little Lives"

The Pediatric Nursing Conference began at 9:30 AM with a prayer service, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Sr. Judy SIC, Principal. A lamp lighting ceremony and theme unveiling officially marked the start of the event.

Dr. Lulu Sherif Mahmood, the Chief Guest, delivered a keynote on Pediatric Emergency Preparedness and Simulation-Based Training. The Presidential Address by Rev. Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director of FMCI, emphasized the importance of compassionate and skilled nursing care. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Janet Sequeira, Organizing Chairperson.

A total of 212 participants, including faculty, staff nurses, and students from various institutions, actively took part. Four scientific sessions were conducted by experts, covering topics like PEWS, pediatric assessment, emergency interventions, and neonatal resuscitation. A pre- and post-test was administered to 140 delegates.

14 posters were exhibited and judged on creativity and clinical relevance. Two winners each from faculty and student categories were awarded.

The valedictory session at 3:30 PM included a report by Mrs. Joyce Fernandes, remarks by KSNC Observer Dr. Binsha Pappachan C, and appreciation by Rev. Fr. Sylvester Vincent Lobo. Delegates shared positive feedback, and the event concluded with the National Anthem.
