ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS PROGRAM

The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) organized a grand celebration on 13th October 2025 to mark its Golden Jubilee, commemorating 50 years of dedicated service toward environmental protection and pollution control in the state. The event, held at Sahyadri Engineering College, Adyar, aimed to raise awareness about sustainable practice and recognize contributions toward a cleaner environment.
The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest and attended by several dignitaries, environmentalists, faculty members, and students from various institutions.
A total of 40 BSc Nursing II Semester students accompanied by Mrs Jacintha Valder faculty from Father Muller Nursing College Thumbay. All from first year, second semester. B.Sc. Nursing. Enthusiastically participated in the program.
The day began with a delicious breakfast of sheera and upma and coffee, followed by the main event that included speeches, skit about drug awareness, and award presentation recognizing contributions to pollution control and environmental awareness.
During the afternoon participants were served a tasty meal consisting of Pulav, chilly bonda, curd rice and Mysorepack .The students enjoyed the event and actively engaged in discussions and activities related to environmental protection and sustainability.
The Golden Jubilee celebration at Sahyadri Engineering College, Adyar, was both inspiring and educational. It provided valuable insights into environmental conversation while giving students an opportunity to witness the importance of pollution control. The students of Father Muller Nursing College Thumbay returned inspired and motivated to contribute toward a cleaner and greener Karnataka
