Nov 5, 2025

As a part of the academic curriculum, the 4th semester B.Sc. Nursing 40 students undertook an educational visit to a Father Muller Homeopathic Pharmaceutical Division on 5th November from 09:30 AM to 10:30 AM. The primary objective of the visit was to enhance their understanding of alternative medicinal systems and to broaden their knowledge of homeopathic drug preparation and dispensing. During the visit, the students were given a comprehensive orientation on the principles of homeopathy, including drug sources, potentization techniques, and prescription patterns. They observed the systematic procedures involved in preparing homeopathic remedies and learned about the quality control measures, storage protocols, and labelling practices followed in the pharmacy. The pharmacist also shared valuable insights into the mechanism of action, therapeutic applications, and safety considerations of commonly used homeopathic medicines. Students interacted actively, cleared their queries, and gained practical exposure to the functioning of a homeopathic pharmacy.

Overall, the visit was informative, enlightening, and academically enriching, helping students appreciate the significance of complementary medicine in patient care. The visit was successfully coordinated by Mrs Jacintha Valder and Mrs Sushma Rodrigues, ensuring smooth organization and active student participation.
