Report on Nurses Day Programme

The Nurses Day Programme was successfully conducted by the SNA members on May 12 at 3:30 PM in the Florence Nightingale Hall with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members. The programme was gracefully compered by Blina Biju,1st year student.

The programme began with a floral tribute offered in front of the portrait of Florence Nightingale as a mark of gratitude and respect for her valuable contributions to the nursing profession. This meaningful gesture added dignity and significance to the celebration.

The celebration commenced with a soulful prayer song presented by Lareena and team creating a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. This was followed by the welcome speech delivered by Leona, a 2nd year student, who warmly welcomed the chief guest, respected teachers, and students to the programme.

A variety of cultural performances added color and excitement to the celebration. The 1st year students performed a vibrant dance, followed by a melodious singing performance by Nandana, and team from 3rd year . The 2nd year students also entertained the audience with an energetic dance performance.

Fun-filled activities and games were organized by Maria Babu and team , making the programme lively and enjoyable for everyone. Prize distribution for various competitions and activities was also conducted during the event.

The chief guest, Mr. Sasikumar, delivered an inspiring message about the dedication, compassion, and valuable contribution of nurses in the healthcare field. The Principal, Dr. Reena Wilma Frank, also addressed the gathering and appreciated the sincere efforts of the SNA members, students, and faculty members in organizing the programme successfully.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Sr. Anitha, 4th year student, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the chief guest, principal, teachers, participants, and all those who contributed to the success of the celebration. The programme came to an end at 4:30 PM with refreshments shared among all, leaving everyone with joyful memories of the occasion.
