World Enviornment Day Awareness Programme

In observance of World Environment Day, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit and the Student Nurses’ Association (SNA) of Father Muller Nursing College Thumbay, in collaboration with the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Bantwal, organized an awareness programme on 11th June 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Stree Shakthi Bhavana, Bantwal.

The programme commenced with a prayer song, followed by a warm welcome extended to the dignitaries and participants. The significance of World Environment Day was highlighted by Ms. Rakshitha, III Semester BSc Nursing student.  The gathering was then addressed by Mrs. Nitha Kumari, Supervisor of Integrated Child Development Services, who emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable practices.

As part of the programme, the students conducted an awareness session through a role play, creating awareness about environmental protection and promoting eco-friendly practices.

The programme was graced by the presence of Mrs. Nitha Kumari and Mrs. Shobha, Supervisors of Integrated Child Development Services; Dr. Edveena Philip Monis, NSS Coordinator and SNA Advisor and Ms. Princita Flavia Saldanha, NSS and SNA faculty Member.

A total of 70 participants attended the programme and actively took part in the awareness activities. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, and organizers for their valuable contributions. The event ended with the National Anthem, marking the successful conclusion of the World Environment Day Programme.
