Alumni Association of Father Muller College of Nursing in collaboration with the Students Nurses Council organized. teacher’s day celebration on 5 September 2025 to honour and appreciate the invaluable contributions of the teaching fraternity. The formal inauguration of the program commenced at 9.30 am with a soulful prayer song rendered by the nursing students, setting a serene and reflective tone for the day.
Rev Fr Foustine Lucas Lobo Director Father Muller Charitable institutions graced the occasion as the chief guest. As a mark of gratitude and recognition, the Alumni Association felicitated teachers who have rendered ten or more years of dedicated service and are proud alumni of Father Muller College of Nursing. A total of eight faculty members were honoured on this special occasion:
- Dr Shiji PJ, Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing, 17 years of experience
- Mrs Wilma Shalini Noronha, Professor, Department of Child Health Nursing -15 years of experience
- Mr Manoj PS, Associate Professor, Department of Child Health Nursing 15 years of experience
- Ms Anitha Nancy Dsouza,Assistant Lecturer,Department of Nursing Foundation 15 years of experience
- Mrs Nathalia Martis,Assistant Lecturer,Department of Medical Surgical Nursing 15 years of experience
- Dr Sonia Karen Liz Sequera, Professor, Community Health Nursing 13 years of experience
- Mrs Sonia A Dsouza,Assistant Lecturer,Department of MedicalSurgical Nursing 14 years of experience
- Ms Precilla loriena Dsouza, Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing, 13 years of experience
The celebration served as a heartfelt expression of appreciation for the teachers’ unwavering commitment, guidance, and contribution to the growth and excellence of the institution.
Alumni Association held its Annual General Body meeting on 19 July 2025 at Rajath Bhavan, FMCON. The program commenced at 9:00 am. A total 115 alumni attended the annual general body meeting. Dr Shiji PJ, President of Alumni Association welcomed the gathering. The annual activity report was presented by Prof Wilma S. Noronha,Secretary of the alumniassociation, followed by Financial report presented by Ms Denitha T, Treasurer of the association.Prof Sr Dhanya Devasia Principal FMCON and SON Emphasised on how to be connected with alumni association to strengthen the association.

Six Students of Father Muller College and School of Nursing were honoured with cash awards for their exemplary academic performance during the year 2023-2024. The awards were presented by Rev.Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director FMCI. The Prestigious research seed grants for the year 2023-2024 was awarded to Prof Precilla Dsouza and Prof Sr Deepa Peter.

The alumni association, proudly released its bulletin “Revive” on this special occasion. The publication highlights two years of activities, alumni achievements, recognition and other updates that reflect the vibrant contributions of the alumni community.
Adding the depth to the occasion Dr. Virupaksha Devaramane delivered an enriching and insightful session titled “Knowing Minds, Nurturing Hearts” which resonated deeply with the audience and emphasised the importance of emotional and mental well –being in today’s health care landscape and highlighting the value of collaboration and its impact on the workplace. it was truly an enriching experience delivered by the resource person.
