CNE ON DIETARY DIVERSITY

A Continuing Nursing Education on Dietary Diversity was organised by the Continuing Nursing Education Cell of the Nursing Service Department in collaboration with dietary department on Tuesday, 27th September 2022 at 3pm in the Hospital conference hall. Dr Sakinya Hegde Alankar, Senior resident and diabetologist, department of endocrinology, Father Muller Medical College Hospital was the guest speaker for the session. The session commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Sr Dhanya Devasia, Chief Nursing officer, Dr Sakinya Hegde Alankar, guest speaker and Ms Sandis, Senior Dietician. Sr Dhanya Devasia, Chief Nursing officer gave a floral welcome to the guest speaker. Dr Sakinya Hegde highlighted regarding the importance of a healthy diet to remain disease free. She also stressed that every individual should adopt mindful eating practices. A balanced and varied diet improves the quality of life, whereas a poor diet may elevate the risk of illness and morbidity. After the session, Ms Sandis, Senior Dietician presented the certificate and memento as a token of love and gratitude to Dr Sakinya Hegde. Around 120 nurses participated in the session.
